How I Can Support You
I offer counselling that’s tailored to your needs — whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating something difficult, or simply looking for a space to reflect. Sessions move at your pace, with support that’s grounded, compassionate, and real.
Here are some of the areas I can support you with:
-
Healing from trauma or difficult life experiences
-
Stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm
-
Life transitions, uncertainty, or feeling stuck
-
Burnout, fatigue, and pressure to keep it all together
-
Performance pressure, injury recovery, and navigating identity within sport
-
Self-worth, boundaries, and personal growth
My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), through a trauma-informed and person-centred framework.
Who I Work With
I work with adolescents (12+) and adults who might be navigating stress, anxiety, overwhelm, trauma, or the pressures of high-performance sporting environments, among other things.
You might be:
-
A young person figuring out who you are in the world
-
An athlete navigating pressure, injury, or identity in sport
-
A high-achiever who’s exhausted from holding everything together
-
Someone returning to therapy after a break
-
Someone who’s been feeling off but can’t quite explain why
-
A first-time client unsure where to begin
You don’t need a diagnosis or a crisis to seek support. If something’s been weighing on you, we can work through it together — at your pace, in a space that’s non-judgemental and collaborative.
Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps you build psychological flexibility — the ability to stay present with difficult thoughts and feelings, while still moving toward what matters. It offers practical tools to help you navigate challenges with clarity, purpose, and compassion.
Person-centred Counselling
This approach is built on respect, empathy, and genuine connection. You’re seen as the expert in your own life, and sessions create a space where you can explore your values, experiences, and goals safely — and at your own pace.
Trauma-informed Care
Trauma-informed care recognises how trauma can shape thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and body responses. I work with an awareness of these effects, always prioritising safety, trust, and choice. You won’t be pushed to revisit things before you're ready. Instead, we’ll focus on creating a space that feels steady, supportive, and attuned to your pace.
